BOOKINGS are being taken for a £3 million caravan park that will open in Ludlow in the spring.
Five star Ludlow Touring Park, which has been developed by Shrewsbury-based Morris Leisure on the outskirts of the town, will open in time for the Beer, Bangers and Bread Ludlow Spring Food Festival, pictured, in May.
The 135-pitch park, located on a 20-acre site alongside the River Teme and with good road links to the A49 near Richards Castle, is already generating interest.
“It’s an exciting time for everyone associated with the new park, which is generating an incredible amount of interest from caravanners and motor home owners from across the UK,” said Edwards Goddard, managing director of Morris Leisure.
“We believe it is going to enhance the local tourism offer and generate around £1 million a year for Ludlow and surrounding area, which has got to be good news for the local economy in these challenging times.
The opening is timed perfectly, as visiting caravan and motor home owners will be able to enjoy the delights of Ludlow Spring Festival, which is now in its fourth year.
Ludlow’s spring Food Festival offers more than 140 real ales on draught from small breweries in Wales and the Marches, producers selling seriously good food, a huge display of classic cars and fantastic music inside Ludlow Castle over the weekend.
