Pencombe 5 Leintwardine Colts 0 in Herefordshire League Division Two North
2:42pm Tuesday 24th January 2012
LEINTWARDINE Colts were blown away by high-flying Pencombe in Herefordshire League Division Two North.
Leintwardine trailed just 2-0 at the break before being battered in the second half.
Returning captain Chris Cooke had a good game in defence and Jonny Tranter enjoyed his first full game for Leintwardine this season.
Leintwardine Colts boss Chris Shurmer said: "The wind was annoying in the first-half with Pencombe using it to their advantage.
"We had prolonged spells of holding the ball up well without having much to shout about in the final third."
Leintwardine host leaders Leominster Colts on Saturday.
"Anything other than a loss would be nice against the runaway leaders," said Shurmer.
